GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
The Costa Brava stretches over the province of Girona, in 5.885Km2, the extreme north-east of Catalonia. This limits the north with the Pyrenees Mountains and the west by the Tordera river and Malgrat de Mar, the first town in the province of Barcelona. The Costa Brava extends along 158 linear kilometers (85 nautical miles) and 256 kilometers of coast profile with the following geographical coordinates: between 41º40 'and 42º30' N latitude and 5º27 'and 7º longitude E. The regions of Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, Gironès, Pla de l'Estany and Selva form the Costa Brava.
CLIMATOLOGY
The climate of the Costa Brava is typically Mediterranean, characterized by hot dry summers and moderately cold winters. However, due to its geographical diversity and breadth they are differentiated according to latitude and proximity to the sea weather. A great feature of the weather in the region is the frequency and strength blowing north wind called Tramuntana.
OROGRAPHY

Cabo de Creus
